About Me
Hi, I’m Peter Cheng and I’m a Perth-born freelance film maker & photographer. I’m also a passionate educator!
I graduated from Murdoch University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Media, majoring in Screen & Sound Production with a minor in Scriptwriting. I then achieved my Advanced Diploma in Education (Secondary School Teaching in Media & Computing) in 2012 from Edith Cowan University.
Since then I have maintained my role in the West Australian film industry working as a professional cinematographer, director, producer & photographer. My experience in film production has ranged advertising, corporate videos, short films, music videos and television broadcast. I have created 2 seasons of an Arts documentary series for television and have also exhibited my video & performance art at several art galleries nationally: including the Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery, the Museum of Contemporary Art Sydney, Mars Gallery Melbourne and Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts.
In 2020 I opened my own Photography Studio, called ‘studiosix’ based in Fremantle where I run workshops, events and continue to invest West Australian Arts.
